Wow... Great weather. Good pitch. Fantastic referee. Good opposistion. And ten lads that wanted to play a game of football. Yes thats right only ten players again for how many times this season i've lost count.. Against Abbey's 11.
The match started with Abbey taking the kick off and taking controll of the game with the ball. But it was short lived as the Dragonz got the ball and started passing it around midfield. A great ball by Adam into space up field saw Daniel sprint onto it after taking around two defenders he calmly slotted past Abbey's keeper. A well worked goal.
Abbey tried to answer back as they broke through the Dragonz defence but only to see the shot go wide of the post.
Are second goal came from when Jack H was taken down in the penalty box. Adam stepped up and placed the ball under Abbey's keeper.
Half time..
The Dragonz took the KO and carried on passing the ball around the field. Jack H Broke into a move onto Abbeys goal surrounded by two Abbey defenders only he shot the ball into the side netting. With Abbey still eager to score they pressured the Dragonz goal eventually the ball went out for a corner. As the ball was crossed in Owen was first to it and cleared it out. The Dragonz broke. The ball from Owen to Adam who passed it into another space up field to which Jack H ran onto it and banged it passed Abbey's keeper and into the goal making the score now 3-0 to the Dragonz.
With the KO taken Abbey were still not giving up as they once again broke through the Dragonz defence looking to score. A lone Abbey striker was heading for goal, Bradley noticed and came running out of goal the striker shot but Bradley pulled off a fantastic save. He cleared the ball up to midfield who passed it into space for Jack H to get onto. Jack H was awarded his second of the game as he put the ball into the bottom corner of Abbey's goal. Making the final score 4-0 to the Dragonz.
Well done lads for another outstanding performance keep up the good work.
Man of the match went to Zachary for his marking, passing and movement on and off the ball.
Thankyou to all of our parents and spectators for your continued support for the team.
And thankyou to BJ for supplying match drinks for the lads.
